About this website
Living with epilepsy as a woman comes with its own unique challenges that extend far beyond managing seizures. This website is designed to be used as a resource for women living with epilepsy, so that they feel equipped and supported to face the diverse issues that can impact daily life.
A resource informed by real-world needs
To help us identify which information women with epilepsy want and spot gaps in information, we surveyed almost 900 women across Europe. Their personal insights have been vital in developing these resources to empower women with epilepsy to talk with their healthcare providers and get the medical support and advice they need.
The information available on this website continues to be updated to reflect the needs of women with epilepsy worldwide.
This website and its resources are part of IBE’s broader Women and Epilepsy project.
Based on clinical and personal experience
This website has been developed by a working group of women with epilepsy and medical practitioners. We’re grateful for their insightful contributions.
